Praxis Automation Far East Completes Retrofit of HTMS Sriracha, Upgrading Thailand’s Hua Hin-Class Patrol Fleet

February 11, 2025

Praxis Automation Far East is pleased to announce the successful completion of a dual retrofit project for the Royal Thai Navy’s HTMS Sriracha (543). Both vessels are part of the Hua Hin-Class (Modified Khamronsin) offshore patrol fleet.

Originally launched in the late 1990s and built by ASIMAR and Bangkok Naval Dockyard, these ships have now been upgraded with Praxis’s integrated automation and control systems. The retrofit scope includes a new vessel management system, propulsion control, and bridge automation — designed to improve mission performance, safety, and system lifecycle efficiency.

“Both vessels are important assets within the Royal Thai Navy,” said Jerome Lin, Sales Director at Praxis Automation Far East. “We are honored to support this modernization effort with scalable, Obsolete-Free Technology that extends operational life and enhances reliability.”

The successful delivery of this project reflects Praxis’s growing role in upgrading legacy defense platforms in the region, helping navies extend the service life of existing vessels while adopting next-generation maritime control systems.
