Praxis Automation Far East (PFE) has donated eight advanced Dynamic Positioning (DP) training stations to the National Maritime Academy (NMA) in Saudi Arabia. This initiative was facilitated by Rawabi Vallianz Offshore Services, the Kingdom’s largest offshore ship owner and NMA board member, who introduced Praxis to the Academy and championed the collaboration.
The donation reflects a shared commitment by Rawabi, Praxis, and NMA to equip Saudi cadets with industry-grade tools and skills, supporting Vision 2030 and Saudization in the maritime sector. The stations use the Mega-Guard DP system, already deployed across Rawabi’s fleet, giving cadets hands-on experience with real offshore technology.
Captain Turki A., NMA Managing Director, noted: “This donation brings real offshore operational technology into our classrooms and strengthens our training ecosystem.”
Saud AlTurki, Director of Partnerships & Client Relations at Rawabi, added: “We’ve seen Praxis’s systems perform reliably onboard. Bringing them into NMA ensures a better-prepared generation of Saudi offshore professionals.”
Jerome Lin, PFE Managing Director, concluded: “This is more than a donation — it’s a long-term investment in Saudi talent.”
